Think of it like a kind of wrapper - inside are a number of web sites that exist in their own right. They each have their own domain (web address), which points to a dedicated hosting account. For some of them, we maintain everything. They just advertise the web and email addresses so they can be contacted effectively via the Internet.
Others have skilled volunteers who maintain their own pages.
But no-one is tied to us. There is absolutely no catch - just an industry standard product with personal service at an exceptional price.
What's in it for us?
To be honest, not a lot... except that the people we deal with get to know us. They like what we do, and then recommend us to local businesses who want a commercial site built, and don't want to fall prey to cowboy builders! Personal recommendation has always been the key to our success. We don't advertise because we don't need to.
